What is a Firewall? How to Turn Off Firewall in Windows?

Firewall is the name given to all software that monitor the incoming and outgoing traffic on any network and protect the computer against possible security vulnerabilities on this network. The firewall is only responsible for defending a computer against threats coming from the network. While the firewall is active, users can be protected and alert against threats that may come from the internet thanks to these software.

1. Firewall Settings

Windows Defender comes with a firewall software that protects users from all kinds of internet threats within the Windows operating system. When you log into Windows Defender from the control panel of your computer, you can see the settings related to this firewall, and you can stop or block the firewall at any time.

If there is an active firewall used in other operating systems, you can access the settings menu of the software to see what options the software offers you, and by editing these options, you can protect the software with the options that are safest for you.

2. Turn Off Firewall

In order to turn off the firewall in your computer, you will be able to access the option of the firewall used in your computer (eg Windows Defender for Windows) and turn off the firewall partially or completely from the advanced settings tab.
