Red Hat introduces its new products and services
Red Hat, one of the names known in open source solutions, has introduced new products and services that it aims to help all organizations that want to optimize, scale, or protect their IT operations against changing global dynamics.
Red Hat works to enable its customers to develop the application they want and put it into service wherever they want with the consistency and flexibility of the open hybrid cloud foundation. The new products and services of Red Hat, developed with this vision, are designed to improve the delivery, accessibility, and stability of critical services and applications worldwide, on the foundations of the hybrid cloud.
IT needs to evolve to meet the ever-increasing demand for digital services and unbroken connections. Almost all sectors, including healthcare, logistics, retail, financial services, government, education, and much more, are in a process of adaptation to provide faster and broader access to key applications and services while managing operational stability. When the telecommunications sector is analyzed closely, it is seen that the traffic in some global regions has increased by more than 50 percent. Due to this increase, telecommunication companies and service providers are also increasing their capacities and speeding up their boundary computing services with 5G. This development requires an examination of whether networks and cloud infrastructures are ready for this.
It is possible to meet these needs with open source innovation instead of traditional software stacks or expensive closed source technologies. Thanks to open-source innovations, companies can take advantage of cloud-native platforms, either on the border, in the on-premises data center, or multiple public cloud environments. Open-source technologies such as Linux and Kubernetes enable organizations to be a pioneer in their industry by ensuring that they are already prepared for future innovations as well as accessing innovation. Companies can automate, harmonize, and scale existing operations in IT environments, thanks to the more flexible nature of open source compared to closed source solutions.
Traditional and cloud-native applications are merged and managed together
Red Hat, one of the first participants of Kubernetes with Google, is now the second leading company that contributes to Kubernetes. Red Hat helps the development of important technologies and related communities in Kubernetes and the development of IT among the sectors.
Red Hat led the corporate Kubernetes platform, which enabled customers to adopt the cloud-native approach while supporting existing traditional applications with OpenShift. Customers operating in many sectors prefer Red Hat OpenShift because of this different approach. Red Hat is adding new features to open barriers between traditional applications and cloud-native applications, enabling new workloads to be used in OpenShift and sending those workloads to customers almost there.
Innovations introduced by Red Hat:
OpenShift virtualization, previewed by Red Hat OpenShift, takes its source from the KubeVirt open source project and enables the development, commissioning, and management of applications created by organizations using virtual machines, containers, and serverless computing. All these processes are carried out on a modern platform that combines traditional and cloud-native workloads. Red Hat brings the traditional application stacks to the open innovation layer, enabling its customers to transform at their own pace. The Kubernetes platform Red Hat OpenShift 4.4 is built on the simplicity and scale of Kubernetes Operators. OpenShift 4.4, whose foundation was replaced by Kubernetes 1.17, offers a developer-centric view and surveillance of platform metrics for application workloads. It also offers surveillance integration for Red Hat Operators, as well as many other features such as resource evaluation and management of costs used for specific applications in the hybrid cloud. More information about the new features in Red Hat OpenShift 4.4 is included in the link.
Red Hat; It offers a new management solution to address the management challenges of applications running on large-scale, production, and distributed Kubernetes clusters. Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes, which will be reviewed soon, comes with a simplified and single-screen control point for oversight and commissioning of scaled OpenShift clusters. Thus, the management and application lifecycle management, which is powered by the principle, also provides. Follow me on IBM Cloud
