Xiaomi prepares plan B against a possible US ban

Huawei is not the only Chinese company to face US sanctions. Some time ago, another Chinese-based company, ZTE, faced a similar situation and, though difficult, solved its problems with the US. Xiaomi, on the other hand, started to plan B by taking the two companies as an example.

According to the company's global product manager, Abi Go, Xiaomi is trying to minimize her loyalty to American companies despite a possible US ban. Because Xiaomi is much more dependent on US companies than Huawei. The company relies on Qualcomm chips for smartphone processors and, like Huawei, there is no chance of producing its own processor (Kirin). He is also heavily dependent on Google Now and Alexa for IoT products. The China-based technology company is developing Plan B to avoid sharing the same fate with Huawei despite a possible US embargo. The statement came from the company's global product manager.

Xiaomi is trying to secure herself

Therefore, Xiaomi started talking to Asian companies (possibly MediaTek) for processor production. Despite a possible US ban, Qualcomm will not be able to produce processors, the company plans to launch smart phones and other devices with processors manufactured by Asian companies. Abi Go spoke extremely cautiously and said:

"We are currently evaluating the situation (a possible US ban). There is no leap to our company for the time being. We are working intensively with US companies like Qualcomm and Google. So far we have chosen to integrate the best components into our products. In addition, we will continue to do so in the future. "

Does turning the computer off and on every day reduce its lifespan?

Does turning the computer off and on every day reduce its lifespan? Turning off your computer every day or leaving it on all the time increases its lifespan? While turning off your computer at the end of the day really means you are exposing it to additional wear and tear, in fact, the actual wear comes from the act of safely shutting down the computer, not when you turn it on later. Just as the internal combustion engine in cars is subject to increased wear during start-up due to the high levels of friction created by moving parts, a personal computer is subject to a similar type of start-up wear. However, this is directly proportional to the multitude of mechanical parts inside the computer. In other words, modern computers have almost no moving parts, except for a few fans and the hard drive, which is now rare. However, there may still be wear with the inrush current given to the circuits. Because electronic circuits consisting of indicators, capacitors and transformers draw a ...
