Redmi Note 8 Pro was rated mediocre by DxOMark!
Redmi Note 8 Pro is a very competitive device with its hardware features and price. Especially when we look at the cameras, it has an 8 MP ultra wide angle camera as well as a 64 MP main camera. In addition, a macro camera with a size of 2 MP and a depth sensor of 2 MP are also included in the device for macro photography. Despite these camera features, the Note 8 Pro was below expectations, receiving the same score as the Black Shark 2 and LG V30 in the DxOMark test.
Missing sides of the Redmi Note 8 Pro camera are mentioned in the report
The last member of the Redmi Note family, which has a very low score, received 87 points in the photography section and 78 in the video category. It is stated that the main camera's “auto focus” performance, exposure and object focus in portrait shots are quite good. However, it was lacking in limited dynamic range, slow autofocus, tint shift, and anti-aliasing.
DxOMark also draws attention to fine details and dynamic range. The absence of a true telephoto camera also results in a low zoom score. Taking pictures in low light is another reason for the low score of Note 8 Pro.
The device did not get a good score due to the lack of continuity of autofocus on video and limited shooting range. In addition, Redmi Note 8 Pro does not seem to meet the expectations due to the visible noise in all shooting conditions, as well as the orange hue for indoor shooting. The camera generally does not give a bad result in good lighting, and given the price of this phone, it seems acceptable to perform it in low light and video shots.
