LG will present a true 8K TV series with AI processor at CES 2020!
LG will present its expanded 8K TV product range at CES 2020 next week. The LG 8K TV series, which consists of eight models in total, also includes new 77 and 65 inch models to be introduced.
The new range includes 88 and 77-inch LG SIGNATURE OLED 8K TVs (88/77 OLED ZX models) and LG NanoCell TVs (75/65 Nano99, 75/65 Nano97, 75/65 Nano95).
The new models support codecs such as HEVC, VP9 and AV1, which YouTube also supports. It also supports playback of original 8K content from HDMI and USB digital inputs. LG's 8K TVs will support 60FPS quality 8K content streaming and offer 8K 60P quality video via HDMI connection.
AI PROCESSOR
The new models come with the third generation α (Alpha) 9 AI Processor. The AI processor improves image and sound quality by analyzing millions of content thanks to its deep learning algorithm. The AI 8K Upscaling feature can implement Four-Step Noise Reduction and frequency-based Sharpness Enhancer to upgrade lower resolution content to near 8K quality.
The AI Image feature of the phlpha 9 processor recognizes faces and text on the screen and automatically adjusts the image. The Automatic Genre Selection feature recognizes the type of content being watched and offers an ideal picture among four genres: Film, Sport, Animation and Standard.
The AI Audio feature analyzes and classifies content audio into five categories (Music, Movie, Sports, Drama or News). Speech words are isolated to increase sound levels. In addition, the sound is upgraded to virtual 5.1 surround quality.
Hands Free Volume Control allows viewers to control multiple connected devices with their own voice, while users can monitor and control compatible IoT devices directly from the TV's main menu. Including Turkey which is active in 144 countries and found that Turkish-backed thinq to the voice recognition feature, built into the LG's 8K TV.
The new TVs include Google's smart TV platform webOS, Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit, as well as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

LG's new 8K TV series will be on display at CES 2020 from January 7 to 10.
